Recovery Experience

Experience has taught us how to help our clients get the most out of their available recovery funds and guide them successfully through the complex federal recovery process. With capabilities that encompass the full spectrum of program management, engineering, and support services, we provide a single-source solution for our partners and the end clients who want to manage their own disaster recovery program.

  • Advise/support State Public Assistance Officer(s) and Local Government in determination of program/project direction, strategy necessary to effectively implement Public Assistance Program.
  • Provide technical assistance in pre-disaster planning, and provide project management/monitoring of post-disaster debris removal operation.
  • Provide technical assistance in planning and monitoring large-scale post-disaster restoration projects re publicly owned facilities (and certain facilities owned by Private Non-Profit organizations);
  • Complete review, analyze, make recommendations for disaster related projects: reconstruction of buildings – replacement vs. repair (50% rule); stormwater drainage systems: sanitary sewer systems; roads; bridges; canal systems dredging; water treatment plants; water control structures; shore/embankment protection measures, etc.
  • Conduct review, analyze, make recommendations for effective hazard mitigation measures (section 406 and 404).
  • Coordinate/oversee project development: eligibility determination, scope of work alignment, Project Worksheets (PW), PW version preparation to maximize eligible reimbursement.
  • Work with assigned Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) team leaders to ensure quality service: QA/QC.
  • Provide technical assistance in development/implementation of plans and procedures necessary to improve overall operation and pre-disaster readiness.
  • Conduct interactive lectures, group discussions, training and briefing sessions concerning interpretation/implementation of Public Assistance Program.
  • Capability to provide training to local, state and federal agencies on all disaster-related topics, including; Public Assistance, disaster preparedness, response, and other relevant areas.
  • Expert knowledge and experience in the areas of Individual Assistance, Temporary Housing, and Mitigation projects.
  • Support to emergency management entities via Emergency Management Consulting Teams with proven expertise in the areas of Comprehensive Planning; Training; and Exercises.
